Im September 2022 sprach sich das Stimmvolk zur Ausschüttung eines jährlich wiederkehrenden Beitrages an den Verein «Kulturraumnetzwerk Chur» aus. Dieser soll den Mangel an Probe- und Produktionsräumen in Chur durch Anmietung geeigneter Lokalitäten beheben. In den letzten Monaten wurde der Vertrag zwischen der Stadt und dem Verein ausgearbeitet und demnächst sollen erste Räume genutzt werden können.

Der Neubau der Talstation Brambrüesch bedeutet das Ende für die in die Jahre gekommene Stadthalle. Als Ersatz soll eine Messe- und Eventhalle auf der Oberen Au entstehen. Nachdem der Churer Gemeinderat der entsprechenden Botschaft im Dezember 2022 deutlich zugestimmt hat, kann das Churer Stimmvolk im März über einen jährlichen Betriebsbeitrag in der Höhe von Fr. 560'000.-- abstimmen.

Abfallbewirtschaftung an Grossveranstaltungen

Das im Januar 2022 in Kraft getretene Gesetz über die Abfallbewirtschaftung sieht vor, dass bei öffentlichen Veranstaltungen mit mehr als 800 Personen Mehrweggeschirr eingesetzt werden muss. In einer ersten Phase wurde die Massnahme beim Getränkeverkauf umgesetzt. Ab 2023 gelten die Vorgaben auch für die Abgabe von Speisen.
