EXHIBITION: Six Months in Cairo
The artist duo Buchli/Isenschmid is exhibiting works at the Stadtgalerie from their six-month studio residency in Cairo, which was made possible by the city of Chur as part of the Cities for Culture (SKK) initiative.
The focus was on materials, craftsmanship, and local encounters. Starting with Egyptian Blue—the first synthetically produced pigment—and papyrus , works and research were produced that, in the exhibition at the Stadtgalerie, offer a first glimpse into the artistic engagement with Cairo.
