Kick-off for summer 2026

Summer program Werkstatt Chur 2026

The Werkstatt Chur is starting the summer with a packed program. Between the beginning of June and mid-August, the program includes a vernissage, concert, karaoke, a fashion format and over a month of football. The centerpiece is the public viewing of the World Cup under the title "ANSTOSS", framed by a program ranging from concert evenings to Sunday brunch.

The event kicks off on Saturday, June 6, with the "Heartbeat" vernissage featuring Valerio Meuli, who is exhibiting in the workshop for the second time as part of the ongoing Blood Knot Project. One day later, on 7 June, the vocal ensemble Canturia Chur will be performing a program of Haydn songs. On June 10, the microphone goes around. Karaoke in the workshop means: no jury, no points, just you, the song and an audience that sings along instead of judging.

From June 11 until the final on July 19, the Werkstatt will become a living room for football fans. The matches of the 2026 World Cup will be shown on the big screen, accompanied by the workshop's own betting game via SRF under the group name werkstattchur26. The best bettor will be surprised with something from the workshop. And whether it's before kick-off, between two events or just because: come by and enjoy the new summer menu.

On June 27, "City Brands" takes over the Werkstatt. The curated fashion format brings independent labels together and sees fashion as a cultural exchange between brands, communities and visitors. In Chur, local labels Othi, Chosen Performance and dmb, as well as Septmille, Hoasen and Sinnuel from the rest of Switzerland will be taking part. The day will be accompanied by live DJ sets, screen printing on site, tattoos and the opportunity to print your own T-shirt.

After the World Cup final, the third edition of the workshop brunch series continues on July 26, this time under the title "Seggsy Brunch". There will be three variations of Eggs Benedict to choose from: classic, vegetarian and with salmon. On August 5, the workshop invites you to Carrom Game Night. This traditional board game requires accuracy and patience. On August 15, the Werkstatt is part of the Chur Festival and welcomes Milkt33thmafia x Loft Records. The festival ends on August 19 with another round of karaoke, same rules as always, i.e. none.
